HRDF Objectives

Promotion of functional literacy through advocacy and communication of information relating to science & technology, health-care & nutrition, environment & energy, and sustainable agriculture.

Rural development through integrated, bio-intensive farming, horticulture and nutrition gardening, vocational training and skill up-gradation.

Women and child development through integrated health-care, early childhood nurturing and education, and income generating activities.

Care of the elderly, the handicapped and infirm, the destitute and helpless.

Inculcation of newer values leading to betterment of human society: respect for fellowmen, quest for creativity and innovation, understanding of the scientific method, promotion of scientific temper, search for truth and justice, avoidance of waste and plunder, preservation and enrichment of the environment, care of flora and fauna, conservation of the limited natural resources, and so on.
